#ISeeYou

Youth Peer Support Certification Training

#ISeeYou is an 80-hour certification training designed to build a strong peer support workforce rooted in lived experience, cultural awareness, and emotional resilience. The training has two versions—one for youth and one for adults—with content tailored to meet the needs and lived realities of each group.

In the youth track, participants ages 16 to 24 learn how to support their peers through crisis, identity-based struggles, and mental health challenges, all while practicing how to care for themselves in the process. The training includes hands-on practice, real-world scenarios, and tools to navigate tough conversations with compassion, boundaries, and clarity. Youth who complete the training are eligible to become certified Youth Peer Support Specialists in Oregon.

In the adult track, participants explore the same core competencies through an adult learning lens. This version is designed for adults with lived experience who want to work in peer support roles or mentor youth in peer-based programs. Whether in schools, clinics, or community settings, adult participants build the skills needed to lead with care, connect across generations, and support others with confidence and intention.

Both tracks center healing, authenticity, and community, helping to shift how support looks and feels in the spaces we live, work, and learn.

#Amplify&Thrive

2 Year Youth Peer Support Internship
Untitled design_edited.jpg

#Amplify&Thrive is a two-year paid internship for high school juniors and seniors who want to turn their lived experience into leadership. Interns learn how to show up for their peers, lead conversations around mental health, and build real-world skills that prepare them for jobs in education, community work, and behavioral health.

Interns start by completing foundational work and the 80-hour #ISeeYou certification training, where they learn the foundations of peer support, boundaries, trauma awareness, and crisis response. From there, they get hands-on experience through co-facilitation, mentorship, and direct service in schools and community spaces.

Each intern is supported by youth mentors who’ve already completed the training and are stepping into leadership roles of their own. The program also includes advisory work, leadership coaching, and opportunities to help shape how youth support looks in real time.
